Navigating Cancer with Faith and Wisdom
Quick Start: Where to Begin
1. Pause and Self-Care
Before making any decisions, take time to breathe. Just breathe. This is hard and life-changing, but there is a lot of hope. A lot of HOPE.
Next, as you pray for clarity and God's direction, expect His answer. Let God’s heart for you lead you to peace and remove fear. God’s peace is your guide as you consider the next step. Take one step at a time. “I sought the LORD, and He answered me, and rescued me from all fears.” Psalm 34:4. Walk in promise-based decision-making, not fear-based problem-solving.
2. Understand Your Diagnosis
Get clear on the specifics of your cancer. Ask questions. Request copies of your reports. I didn't realize until later how helpful it was to take the reports, put them into ChatGPT, and ask it to explain them to a 5th grader! The more you understand, the more confidently you can make decisions.
3. Build Your Care Team
Surround yourself with trusted medical professionals, but also be willing to seek second opinions. We have both medical and functional integrative doctors, as well as other qualified friends who have been on a similar journey to ours, to inform our decisions. A strong team gives you perspective, options, and support.
4. Begin Supporting Your Body
Start making changes that support your overall health and cellular environment right away: nutrition, sleep, stress management, and eliminating sugar and reducing toxins. Your metabolic health matters! Small, consistent steps will go far. Number 1 thing to keep in mind: your body’s built-in systems for healing are your best defense.
Changing the terrain that allows cancer to grow, supporting your mitochondrial health, and harnessing the immune system are your path to healing. Most doctors do not provide terrain-support guidance (you will have to make these changes on your own), but you can get direction from them based on your type of cancer. I have shared a few terrain-focused questions and resources below.
5. Take One Step at a Time
You don’t need to have the whole plan today. Focus on the right next step. Get a journal, start writing things down. Not just what you are hearing from the doctor, but what you are hearing from God.
As you move forward, clarity will come.
Terrain Focused Questions To Ask Your Oncologist
-
Cancer treatments place significant stress on the body, affecting energy, digestion, hydration, and overall resilience. Nutrition, hydration, and exercise minimize side effects, maintain strength, and promote faster healing. Personalized guidance from your oncologist ensures these strategies are safe, effective, and tailored to your specific treatment plan.
-
Inflammation can increase as a result of treatments, contributing to pain, fatigue, and slower healing. Understanding how your therapy affects inflammation and learning ways to manage it through diet can help reduce side effects, improve comfort, and support your body’s ability to recover and respond more effectively.
-
Cancer treatments can significantly impact how your body produces and uses energy, often leading to fatigue, changes in metabolism, and slower recovery. Understanding these effects helps you take proactive steps through nutrition, rest, and exercise to better support resilience throughout treatment.
-
Cancer treatments such as chemotherapy, radiation, and targeted therapies weaken the immune system, making it harder for your body to fight the tumor and recover. Taking practical steps to support immune function through diet, regular exercise, and good sleep is essential. Strengthening your immune system is key to overall healing.
Cancer Resources
Cancer Care & Terrain Support
Alongside medical treatments, many people explore natural approaches to support the body’s internal environment and overall healing, including protocols like Dr. Pete Sulack. These approaches focus on strengthening the body and creating conditions less favorable for cancer growth. Diet is a key part of supporting your body's fight, as what you eat directly affects cellular health, inflammation, and energy. Your doctor may not have an option on this, but it is crucial! We hope to provide practical guidance to help you make supportive daily choices.
Personalized Treatments
Personalized treatments are designed specifically for your cancer, using details like your tumor’s genetic profile to guide targeted therapies, such as individualized peptide and dendritic cell vaccines. These options, available both in the U.S. and internationally, aim to work with your immune system in a more precise and tailored way.
Clinical Trails
Clinical trials offer access to new and emerging treatments that may provide options beyond standard care. As you consider this path, take time to seek wisdom, ask questions, and work closely with your medical team to discern what aligns best with your situation.
To find the right fit, use key details such as your diagnosis, stage, location, and prior treatments, then narrow results by eligibility, trial phase, and recruiting status, while seeking guidance from your medical team.

Dr. Pete Sulack Protocol
Dr. Pete Sulack is a survivor, health practitioner, and the Founder of Redeem Health and Redeem Essentials. He began his career as a trusted healthcare provider, leading one of the nation's largest chiropractic wellness clinics, Redeem Health. But everything changed when he was diagnosed with Grade 4 Diffuse Astrocytoma, a terminal brain cancer with no cure. Instead of giving up, Dr. Sulack turned to the very functional, metabolic, and holistic protocols he had spent years developing for others.

Going Beyond Nutrition — Supporting Your Terrain from the Inside Out
Dr. Sam Rinehart | Principled Living Tonal Chiropractic & Virtual Health Solutions | New Hope, MN
Everything you are today came from two cells. From that single moment of creation, before your heart, before your organs, before anything else your body knew to do, it built your nervous system first. That's not an accident. That's the fingerprint of a Designer who wired you for healing from the very beginning. Your brain and spinal cord are the master control center of everything — your immune response, your inflammation levels, your hormonal balance, and your body's God-given ability to fight and recover. When there is interference along that system, your body's ability to regulate, defend, and heal is compromised at its foundation. Our Tonal Chiropractic Care, StemWave Tissue Regeneration therapy, and 7 Systems Plan work together to remove that interference and address the root causes of chronic illness across all seven of the body's interconnected systems — nervous system, immune function, hormonal health, body composition, mental health, and more. And through our Virtual Health Solutions, you don't have to live in the Twin Cities to access this care
If you or someone you love is navigating a cancer journey and would like to explore how tonal chiropractic care and the 7 Systems Plan might support your terrain, we'd love to start with a conversation.
“Our bodies were created by God to heal and restore from the inside out.”
