Finding hope in Jesus through life’s hardest roads

“For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made.” Psalm 139:13-14

This website is a resource for one of life’s hardest journeys, a cancer diagnosis. Our hope is to offer encouragement and cancer-focused resources so that every fighter and caregiver can remain anchored in hope and trust in Jesus through every step. “I am the Lord who heals you.” — Exodus 15:26

Why “Wonderfully Made Journey?”
The name Wonderfully Made comes from Psalm 139:13–14, reminding us that we are intentionally created by God, deeply known, and wonderfully made in His image. Even in sickness, suffering, and uncertainty, our value and purpose do not change. Journey reflects the path we walk through cancer and life… not simply reaching a destination, but learning to trust God through each step. It is a journey of faith, healing, growth, and finding peace in God’s presence along the way.

Walking Through Cancer With Faith

In late 2024, Jon experienced his first seizure. It marked the beginning of many more, followed by six months filled with caution, countless tests, and very few answers. Then, in May 2025, our neurologist told us she could no longer help and referred us to the Mayo Clinic. That referral changed everything. It was there that we received the diagnosis: inoperable glioblastoma. As our journey has unfolded, we’ve realized many families are walking similar roads.

A cancer diagnosis can bring fear, confusion, and isolation, leaving you searching for answers, resources, and hope. That is where we found ourselves, in the scary, dark, and panic-filled space of cancer, until we silenced the noise around us and listened for God.

We are walking miracles, perfectly designed by Him. God made it clear to us that there is a “path” (Him), and He would faithfully lead us through it. He is the Great Physician, and our bodies are wonderfully made, created to heal and return to joy. Our role is to listen and walk it out in trust. For us, everything had to change, and we needed to be willing to do so.

Along the way, God has faithfully provided resources and guidance, and it’s our heart to share those with you. We are certainly limited in what we know, and we would never pretend to have all the knowledge, but we want to share what we have learned on our journey. We know your journey is unique to you, so knowing what God is telling you is crucial.

Here you will find:

  • our journey and the lessons we’ve learned along the way

  • practical resources for fighters and caregivers

  • a place for encouragement, resilience, and God expectancy!

A Hope That Goes Deeper

Cancer changes many things in life, but it has also clarified something very important for us.

Our hope is not in treatments, test results, or medical outcomes.

Our hope is in Jesus.

We know Jesus meets people in suffering, brings peace in the middle of uncertainty, and walks with us through every part of our journey.

If you are seeking reassurance that you are in good hands, know that Jesus knows the details of your story. Our prayer is that you will find resilience to face your trial in God's promises. To walk out in confidence that He is in the details, knows every cell in your body and hair on your head. He is all-knowing and perfect in His ways. For He has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” Hebrews 13:5 and “I am the Lord who heals you” Exodus 15:26.

The reminder that you are not alone. God is in the story - your story.

Our Story

When Cancer Entered Our Lives

There are moments in life when everything changes in an instant.

For our family, that moment came when cancer suddenly became part of our story. Like many families facing a serious diagnosis, we found ourselves stepping into a world we had never expected to navigate: medical terminology, treatment decisions, uncertainty, and the emotional weight that comes with it. In the beginning, everything felt overwhelming. We were trying to absorb information, make difficult decisions, and find strength for each new day.

But in the middle of the uncertainty, something else began to happen. We began to see how deeply God was present and leading.
