Answered Prayers
When this journey began, we didn’t have a roadmap - we had prayers.

Some were spoken out loud.
Some were whispered through tears.
Some were as simple as, “God, help.”
We didn’t know what the outcome would be. We didn’t know what decisions we would face. We didn’t know how hard it would get. But we knew where to go, with every fear, every question, every unknown.
And God met us there.
Looking back, what stands out most isn’t just the milestones or the medical progress. It’s the pattern. A steady, undeniable rhythm of prayer… and response.
We prayed for direction, and He guided each next step when we needed it most.
We prayed for strength, and we were sustained through long days and hard moments.
We prayed for protection during treatment, and we saw fewer side effects than expected.
We prayed for clarity, and even when the answer was “wait,” He gave us peace in the waiting.
We prayed for open doors, and watched Him make a way where there didn’t seem to be one.
We prayed for healing, and we are seeing it unfold, step by step.
Not every prayer was answered immediately.
Not every answer looked the way we imagined.
But every single one was met with intention.
This journey has taught us that God’s faithfulness isn’t always loud, but it is constant. It shows up in the details. In the timing. In the provision. In the people who surround you. In the strength you didn’t know you had.
We don’t know how the full story will unfold. But we do know this: God has already done more than we could have asked or imagined. And because of that, we move forward with hope. Not because everything is certain, but because He is.
To demonstrate God's faithfulness, I compiled eight months' worth of CaringBridge entries and used ChatGPT to identify our prayer requests and the ways they were answered. Seeing it all laid out so clearly was truly powerful (see below).

July 2025 – Early Treatment (Radiation Begins)

Immediate provision of resources and direction (website of a survivor, Keto protocol, confirmation from the doctor)

July 2025 – Initial Global Prayer Requests

Healing (cancer-free)
Strength, courage, joy

Answer (over time):
Strength through treatment and endurance repeatedly noted

Ongoing evidence of community support, meals, encouragement

September 2025 – Scan Clarity & Progress

Understanding of treatment effectiveness

Not immediate clarity—but delay with purpose (swelling prevented clear reading)
Led to continued waiting and reliance on God
Theme: God answered with “wait” instead of clarity, building trust
November 5, 2025 – Post-Chemo
Prayer:
Reduced swelling
Minimal chemo side effects

Answer:
Minimal side effects experienced (“dodged some of the nastiest”)
